Tobacciana

In the environs of West Broadway and Spring there is a sanctuary that goes by a warm, inviting name OK-Cigars. It is not just about the cigars but valuing an archaic culture, when it was normal to sit down and make friends with the person next to you.  I shared a smoke with a few of the amicable patrons and received a brief history lesson of the tobacciana and its neighboring art gallery.

It is an attitude that renders a refreshing take on the enjoyment of one's day seeing these gentlemen on a Tuesday afternoon gathered nonchalantly around a steel staircase smiling, laughing and sharing stories. Many leagues away from the hype of self fortification of alcohol at 2:00am on a Saturday that defies too many people's social lives.

Sincerely Yours,

Cigars Open
